Give it to Kelly another 136 more times he could have gotten to 9.0 yards a carry. I think they are both great backs I would just put Kelly ahead also after Kelly plays defense they has to go and run the ball thats pretty impressive, not to mention he is back on punt returns.

Where are you seeing this 136 rushes difference? And pure speculation that he would have gotten to 9.0 ypg. Do you realize how much additional yards per carry that would require to boost his overall average (including the first 200 rushes) that high?

 

Also, I don't think it's fair to consider whether one or the other has to play another position. I don't disagree with what you're saying, but ultimately you have to pick the best running back, regardless of whether they also play defense or special teams and whether their offensive performance is somehow impacted by playing these additional roles.

He takes a beating the only time he comes off the field is on the kick offs and accasionally on defense.

I apoligize on the numbers the last stats I saw had Quainoo carrying he ball more than 130 more times than Kelly, in one game Quainoo carried 50 times.

Yes and he is playing against other players that play both ways. That is not as common in 6A. The overwhelming majority play one way.

The best I can remember is Ryle-1, SK-1(sometimes 2), CCH-1, Conner-0, Campbell-2.

 

 

And this is part of the point that I am making. Kelly is going against teams that most of the players play both ways just like he does. So the defenders are just as tired. By the way, IMO, Kelly is very, very good and fun to watch.

It should be considered then for sure.

Guidugli being left off does look bad but West and Kues deserve the recognition as well. Very difficult to leave any of those three of the team but there are only two slots. D1 possibilities have nothing to do with being on this team.

After seeing at least 50 high school football games this season including all of HIGHLANDS games its quite an ommision not to even mention the name ot Ollie Head as a defensive back, He is without question the hardest hitting defensive back that I have seen play this season. Not to mention that for most of the regular season he was the featured running back forced into duty because of injury to Josh Connor. Just as a footnote I believe he is also the leading scorer on the number 1 or 2 in the state depending the poll you look at. IMO

Perhaps true but it doesn't matter. The team isn't picked based on recruiting. It is picked on performance.
