Penny averaged 20,5,5 the year after Shaq left so I don't know how you think he wasn't any good. He starts we barely any better with Shaq. After that year it was pretty much injury after injury.

Well it was actually 20, (5.6 rounds to)6, and 5 but who's counting? And if your only defense is he had great commercials then you need more help on this topic then i thought. He was hurt in year two of Shaq being gone, but was healthy the next year and managed to average respectable but not great of 16,4 and 4 and 15PPG, 6 and 5. He followed that up with Microfracutre surgery the next season, and then returned and wasn't the same. Not bad, but not a player of Kobe, LeBron, or any legit all-star level for a guard. I loved to watch Penny with the Diesel and he was one of my favorite players, but he was really kind of a fraud. Sure he was a nice player, but the diesel did help him out alot. Honestly, the 15, 6 and 5 was more of the type of player Penny was. His overall stats are 15, 4.5 and 5. Not bad, but at best he is only the 5th best player Shaq played with after Kobe, D Wade, Nash, and Stoudemire and that is being generous considering he has also played with Alonzo and Grant Hill, albeit at the down parts of their careers.

How much more Credit do you want? I said he is not better than Kobe YET. What are we giving credit for exactly? YOUR OPINION that he is the best player ever. Sorry if i'm not floored with your Lebron is better because he puts up better numbers game. You said it was a team game after all so winning would be the #1 factor right? Tim Duncan is one of the best SF of all time he should have beat up on Big Z but to act like he is terrible a joke.

How is your argument any better than mine? It's an opinion and the majority of people agree with my opinion including many many basketball analyst.

Big Z is joke. You must not have watched him since '97. Seriously. One of the worst 5 starting centers in the league. Also, Tim Duncan is, depending on your preference either a PF or a C. I think you are the first to ever call him a small forward. Is he going to guard LeBron and Paul Pierce now?

I never said that he was better than Jordan yet. He is on track though. Jordan didn't win a title until '91, he was 28 years old or so. So I guess LeBron's got a few more years to catch him.

Kobe was not the focal point of the Lakers 3-peat, Shaq was. What has he ever accomplished as the leader of the Lakers? An embarrassing defeat in the finals? So him and LBJ are about tied in that.

Give it a rest. Your opinions could be right, but all you offer is your biased thoughts, and stats that are slanted to prove your point. I offer the actual stats that are matched up the way they should be. If Kobe was statistically better it would be on here. Yeah stats aren't everything, but they are a whole lot less biased then you or I, and you have to admit that. You're a Kobe fan, I like Kobe but I like LeBron better. The difference is I say Kobe is great, you act like LeBron is just an also-ran. He is way more physically gifted and talented than Kobe, and is way younger. Kobe had the diesel to break him into the league, LeBron had no one, and is faring just fine. He has the Cavs gunning for their first title. Had Kobe never been traded to the Lakers from the Hornets on draft day, how many titles would he have? I will say none, and definitely not 3.

Basketball analysist are just tools of the media. Who ever they think they are suppose to support they will. Just like no one will ever say anyone is better than Jordan, it just wouldn't be popular. Only a select few think for themselves, such as Skip Bayless, who is terrible at what he does but still. He is a LeBron basher I know, but atleast he has his own reasons. And aren't most people saying LBJ is the MVP so far this season?

Obviously I know Timmy is a PF. So my stats are use to my adgavtage but yes aren't for yours? Makes sense I guess. I have said all I wanted to say about this.

Well, it is a point to bring up that stats. But, you were comparing people on the Cavs and Lakers that shouldn't have been compared. Match the starters up, then the bench. But not, just throwing out people to make the Cavs look better than they are.

What does everyone think about the All-Star Starting Lineups?

East

Allen Iverson

Dwyane Wade

LeBron James

Kevin Garnett

Dwight Howard

West

Chris Paul

Kobe Bryant

Dirk Nowitzki

Amare Stoudemire

Yao Ming

I personally have a problem with Allen Iverson starting in the Point Guard slot.I know it is a fan's vote and the fans decide the starters, but A.I. is not a Point Guard, so why take his slot away from a true Point Guard that may deserve to be at the All-Star game? Devin Harris has really improved his game this season and is turning into one of the premier Point Guards in the Eastern Conference.

On the West side, I have no problem with Chris Paul, Kobe or Dirk-even though Dirk is not a Small Forward-I don't really have a problem with Amare starting. But Yao starting amazes me. Yes, I know he will always get the votes as long as he plays, but Shaq is playing lights out and even though they are just the 8 seed in the west right now if the season ended today, if Diesel plays like this in the Playoffs I would not write them off as a one hit wonder.

Again, I know it is up to the fans who starts the game, and it's really a pointless argument but I think the NBA's All-Star is the best of any of the All-Star games and there isn't any defense played but they always seem to be entertaining and I don't want it to turn into the garbage the MLB and Pro-Bowl have turned into.

If it were up to me-which I guess it kind of was since I voted-I'd have:

Devin Harris

D-Wade

LBJ

KG

Howard

Chris Paul

Kobe

Dirk

Shaq

Yao

Kobe is the best player in the world. Lebron is a better scorer but IMO Kobe is the best all around player in the game, he can shoot, drive, play defense and is becoming a great team mate. He will be the best player to either he retires or Lebron wins a championship.

Agreed, Shaq should be a ahead of Yao. But, starters are by vote and with the worlds biggest country supporting him, Yao will always be a starter.

I agree with everything but Shaq really. He is playing pretty well but there are a few guys that are playing better than him right now. The NBA all-star game is easily the best of all the pro sports. Howard actually made the Dunk Contest good again last year to. I don't see him being able to do anything better than last year but I will tune in now to see what he comes up with.

I think you could make a pretty good argument that Mo Williams should be there in place on AI. He will probably end up being selected as a reserve.

I guess you could say Ming is playing better. I think Shaq is doing more though.

As for the dunk competition, it's getting better, but until it's D Howard, LeBron, Kobe, and other elite dunkers it's nothing to be too excited about. Personally, those 3 and someone like Josh Smith would be nice. It's cool to see Nasty Nate Robinson dunk, but he really can't do much.

And for Mo, he will probably be an all-star. Cavs are one of the best records in the league, and he is the 2nd leading scorer for them.

And no, LeBron had a "LEBRON" moment last night.

What about reserves? Thoughts anyone?

I don't have many I'd like to see, Danny Granger, Shaq, Rondo, and apart from the people you for sure know you're getting.
