Cov Cath 69 Lou Central 52 Scrimmage

Featured Replies

Cov Cath takes the 1st period 14-11. Eta Roh reports that Lou Central has nobody over 6'1 and Cov CAth is not looking very sharp.

Cov CAth won the 2nd qtr 20-13. Halftime score is CovCath over Lou Central 34 to 24.

1st quarter: Covcath 14-11

1nd quarter: Covcath 20-13

3rd quarter: Central 23-19

4th quarter: Covcath 16-9

Final

Covcath 69

Central 52

Zach Isler led Covcath with 12 points and 4 boards in probably less than 10 mins of action. He probably was the most impressive player for them and didn't miss a shot. He is going to be VERY good for the Colonels this year.

#3 looked good for Central but took ALOT of shots.

Covcath really struggled against the press and if Listerman tries to live and die by the 3 this year, it could be a long couple months for the Colonels. They were most effective around the basket and driving.

I'd say Maile ended up in the 5-7 point range.

Good win in a scrimmage for Holmes.

Goldie, this is the Covcath thread...not Holmes.;)

 I will correct it......

Good deal. I posted a thread though if you'd like to see how the Holmes game went.

Thanks...I will just go back and watch the Uk football game with my son.... and get me some hot tea.

When you consider that it has just been a week since the football season ended, and only two weeks since he could play football after the leg injury, yes it was indeed a great outing by Ice!

Listerman needs to realize VERY quick that Isler is going to be the heart and soul of that team this year. He was unstoppable at times and posted up whenever he wanted. The guards need to get him atleast 10-15 touches a game. He could average a double double this year IMO.

I wonder if any projected starters for Central are still playing football?

Ridge Wilson

Shover in the lineup?

Shover in the lineup?

Shover played some but he is still sick and sat out the majority of the game.

I believe their starting lineup was:

Ives

Shover

Sorrell

Maile

Wellbrock

Pauly played a lot today while Shover was out.

If by "heart and soul" you mean which player will give CCH its toughness and its identity, I wholeheartedly agree with you. If you mean they run their offense through the post, I'll disagree. Zach will make a living by out toughing kids on the offensive boards.

I was referring to toughness. I agree though that Zach will make a living in the post. The guards need to get the ball down in the post from time to time though. The CCH big men had atleast 4 inches on all of the Central players today and threw the ball down low less than 5 times if I had to take a guess.
