November 27, 200817 yr Scoring points is the least of USC's worries. They have to hope every team in front of them losses in the next two weeks.... as well as Oregon State. Why would they have to worry about Oregon St? They are ranked above them now. Does the BCS championship take the conference champion? I don't think so, so it doesnt matter what OSU does.

So no, and OSU loss hurts USC because it takes Strength of Schedule points away, but OSU cannot play in the National Cahmpisonship game. USC is not in the hunt for the Rose Bowl, but they will play in a BCS Bowl, 3 of the 4 must lose a game for USC to have a chance at the title game: OU, UF, Bama, and Texas. In the event Oklahoma State wins today, they may need Texas Tech to win in the Big 12 title game to keep out Texas. Yeah, it is confusing. Trust me, it will help USC tremendously if Oregon State loses just to have the Pac 10 title. Similar to last season when Georgia was leaped by LSU after winning the conference title.
