He is a good corner, but I don't think he is having a MVP type of year. Joey has 14 sacks and should be in the running.

I just think that he's a stud, like FairFan said, that doesn't get much credit because his INT stats don't shine like other CBs in the league.

If that team can start winning again( not sure with Davis running the show), he could put himself in a situation where he is a contender for DMVP.

With 70 tackles, 12 sacks (2nd in the league), 4 forced fumbles, (2nd in the league), and a INT on the best defense in the NFL. I think he is the front runner at this point.

He's a great corner. One of the two best in the league, IMO...

 

As for those stats, I'd say they get a boost from Oakland's porous run defense. (29th in the league, surrendering 158.8 ypg)

 

First, teams don't have to pass to beat Oakland. And, second, when they do pass, they're often doing it because they want to, not because they have to. That would make it much easier to game plan away from the only guy on the Raiders defense who scares you.

Polamalu adds 9 tackles and an interception. He now leads the league with 7!!!

 

 

James Harrison adds 8 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, sack and another forced fumble( I believe he leads the leaguein FF). Ties club record 15 sacks on the season one behind the league leader Ware.

When he's healthy and that Ravens D is rolling, Ed Reed is a nightmare. He's the best safety in the league and the best player on that team.

He is a great one. I have no problem putting him at the top of all the free safties out there.
