Mercer had a scrimmage against Nelson County. They lost the 1st quarter but won the next 3 easily. That was without the football players also. Dont know how strong Nelson County is though.

West scrimmaged Lafayette tonight. They played five quarters and west won everyone but the fourth. I think West won the final by 11.

Somerset scrimmaged Madison Southern today, Somerset won 2 of the varsity quarters, lost 1 varsity quarter and tied 1 varsity quarter.

I think overall Madison Southern won by won. They won the first quarter by 8, Somerset won the 2nd quarter by 5 and the 3rd quarter by 2. Overall, I thought Somerset looked a little bit better than I expected considering how young they are and learning a new system. Aaron Dockery did a nice job at the point, he'll be a big key to the Jumpers season. #4 and #32 were nice players for the Eagles.

 

The JV's ended up tied after 3 periods and Somerset's freshman won all 3 periods that they played.

Rockcastle boys will scrimmage starting at 12 noon Friday @ Rockcastle against Williamsburg.

Garrard County scrimmaged Wayne County tonight and won by 4.
