I'd personally take the 06-07 team win Sharp, Quigley, and company over this years team but thats for a totally different debate. I willl agree though that this will and should be a pretty good team this year and a contender in the 10th.

 

We will wait and see, but I will defintly say that this Scott team is deeper and much bigger than that unit, and Have to POTENTIAL to be better than that group. Like I said though, we will wait and see.

Scott's starting 5 this year will be good. Scott only had 1 Senior starter last year in Adkins which will be missed some this year.Scott has the potential to have one of the best teams in Taylor Mill in a long time as long as they play together and don't worry about individual statistics during the season. They should be alot faster this year as a team and get up and down the court.

 

:thumb: and To add on, they will have the best front court that Carr has seen in his tenure. If they find a true point guard, which I think Smith could be, this team will be very very good.

I think until this group proves otherwise I would take Kyle Howard who scored over 1000 points in his high school career and Kyle McCord who is playing at the collegiate level at Mt St Joes as the best frontcourt in Carr's time at Scott.

Howard was very very good, He is the best post player they have had, McCord was a guard playing forward, He didn't rebound very well, or defend particuarly great, but he could flat out stroke.

BTW, I believe McCord now is starting at Mt. St. Joes.

Quigley, Miller, and Felts didn't have the height this year's team does, but they were better shooters, more athletic, and just better overall players.

I will never forget that game....Robbie Stenzel...8th grader sank 2 free throws to win the game.

As I have stated, They have the POTENTIAL to be better, we will just have to wait and see.

They should as most people have them as the #2 or #3 in the region. Mason County, IMO, is better but there are some questions about how they will fill the many voids they have. Clark County is the clear #1 favorite in the 10th but I think both Scott and Mason could give them a run for their money.

Clark Co & Mason co are the unanimous 1 & 2 teams in the 10th. Scott, CC, Montgomery Co are the 3, 4, & 5 teams.

 

Clark Co is loaded like last year's MC team. Barring injuries, Clark will win the 10th.

Stefan Hagfors earned his starting spot in their scrimage on Saturday. Coach Carr wouldn't just hand it to him for no reason. Jake Neiderreger has a broken finger and should only be out for a couple of weeks.

I agree about Howard and McCord. They were a great combo to have. This year with Daniel and Nikola inside, I am sure that they could have an awesome frontcourt. I see Scott being a pretty good rebounding team this year as well.

Scott will definitely have one of the most diverse squads with all of the interesting names. Are some of these kids transfers in from other countries?
