I agree 100%, a whole lot of people(Gore) are going to look very stupid in a couple of years when it becomes perfectly obvious that we have entered a period of global cooling and will be in it for a long time due to decreased solar flare activity on the sun.

Even Al Gore is looking for an extra blanket. Winter has barely come to the northern latitudes and already we've got bigger goosebumps than usual. Only 44 Octobers over the past 114 years have been cooler than this last one. The polar ice is accumulating faster than usual, and some of the experts now concede that the globe hasn't warmed since 1995. You may have noticed, in fact, that Al and his pals, having given up on the sun, no longer even warn of global warming. Now it's "climate change." The marketing men enlisted by Al and the doom criers to come up with a flexible "brand" took a cue from the country philosopher who observed, correctly, that "if you've got one foot in the fire and the other in a bucket of ice, on average you're warm." On average, "climate change" covers every possibility. This is similar to the science practiced by Dr. James Hansen at NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, the source of much of the voodoo that Al Gore has been peddling since the doctor showed up at a Senate hearing in 1988 and told ghost stories that Al swallowed whole. Only last month Dr. Hansen's institute announced that October was the hottest on record, and then said "uh, never mind." The London Daily Telegraph calls this "a surreal blunder [that] raised a huge question mark about the temperature records that underpin the worldwide alarm over global warming."

The snowfall has been so great that it has closed roads, brought down power lines and even led to the cancellation of some Swiss rail services this week. One of the greatest beneficiaries are the Italian Dolomites where 150cm (five feet) has fallen at Cortina in a 48 hour period up to Monday, with snow still falling.

The earth undergoes constant climate changes and man had nothing to do with the fact that half of the northern hemisphere was covered with ice only a few thousand years ago. How did man cause that climate change? How about the Little Ice Age, which occurred hundreds of years before the Industrial Revolution began? The cost of severely restricting CO2 emissions in the absence of strong evidence that man is causing global warming would be devastating to the poorest among us. As for global cooling, there is no current theory and no evidence that anything man is doing could cause global cooling. No theory. No evidence. Doing nothing but study the global climate is only common sense.

Global warming is far from "settled science" but many of the outrageous exaggerations that Al Gore and his supporters have been peddling have been debunked. There has been no global warming since at least 1995 and there is no conclusive evidence that the warming that took place before that time was the result of CO2 emissions.
