I don't know if this has been posted on here or not, but I heard on the news that gun sales in October were the highest they've ever been for a one month period- or something like that. Seems people are afraid of what Obama will do once in office.

Can you really blame them; Obama has proposed nothing positive for the gun owner. At the NASGW show in Atlanta last week, distributors were all talking about huge sales recently, in some cases, record sales. Obama has clearly sent a message that he's not going to be firearm friendly, hence the record sales.

You're dead on with that comment, woodsrider. You and I both know better, but the left can't seem to get through their heads that the only people that obey laws are law abiding citizens. After all, drugs are illegal and look how that's turned out.

I'm anti-gun more or less, but I wouldn't want to take them away from folks. I just don't like to see them so prevalent in society, and I'm not so attached to the 2nd ammendment as others are.

 

There's a funny clip I saw somewhere on this topic. Obama speaking to a crowd, says something to the effect (I'm very closely paraphrasing here) "Yes, I want to take your guns away. But I won't have the votes!" He was smiling, but I believe he is sincere. And he is very close I believe to getting those votes, depending on what happens in the next 2 year elections.

That's why he's so dangerous to the 2nd Amendment and our freedoms. What about guns do you have a problem with, miragesmack? I mean lawfully bought and owned guns.

I think that is the patriotic duty of RTS and Hoot to start a rumor that President Obama is going to ban American made cars. Detroit could use the business and it is just as true as the rumors that he will be banning guns and ammunition.

I am just taking Obama at his word and matching them to his past actions. Obama has taken some positions that have been at odds with the Second Amendment in the past and there is no reason to believe his postions on gun ownership have changed. If you can point to any votes that Obama has cast in support of American citizens' right to bear arms, please post a link.
