IMVHO Obama = The Pied Piper

Featured Replies

I was just thinking about the flip side of this. How about some reasons to vote for Obama, besides "Change". (Not you RM, people in general)

I can run for POTUS and promise change, doesn't mean I know what I'm doing.

I had an epipheny. (not sure if that is the spelling)

The change that O is promising is what will be left in our paychecks after he gets done with HIS part of the money we earn.

I think Hoot is giving LN a run for his money on the looooooonnnnnnggggggg post catagory.

Much like the ever increasing popularity of "Audio books", perhaps its a good idea to put LN's (and others) posts on some type of audio media in order to cut down on eye strain and so that we could enjoy them when we are driving.

Speaking for myself, I'm a mod. I have no choice.

Personally, I plan on keeping you very busy during the next 4 years.:D

j/k. After election time, getting people worked up in here tends to lose some of its appeal.

You (collective term to encompass anti-Obama posters) want a worthy discussion? Then quit peppering the posts with demeaning adjectives. Quit berating all people who support Obama. Quit exaggerating hypothetical situations, and presenting them as facts.

I would venture a guess that those who did not support Obama will be on as good of a behavior as those that did not support W have been.:D;):sssh:

At least you have a sense of humor. ;)

I've always been a bit of a pot-stirrer I must admit. However, most of my heated posts (with some exceptions of course) I've had in P&R are usually made while I am snickering under my breath. Further, most of my "pot-stirring" thread titles in P&R are for the single purpose of whipping people into a furious conversation on the topic. My recent thread concerning Obama being the real life Nicolai Carpathia was 100% tongue in cheek. The fun is watching who sees that and who takes it seriously. Of course, I am not saying that people who don't see it as tongue in cheek are dense, it's just that they probably don't know my history on here very well.:cool::cool::cool::cool:

Now back to my doll and pins..............

Problem is that whether you're being serious or just stirring the pot; there will invariably be someone who reads a post or two and goes home and says, "I just found out that Senator Obama is the antichrist", because that's what he wants to hear.

BGP has a Rule 6 for a reason. :D

There are threads, that while I read and participate, I know are futile. Others, I don't even bother to respond to, because no matter what evidence to the contrary, a browbeating will take place, the goal of which is to convice me that I am the biggest idiot on the face of the earth if I support Obama. Yet....no one can give me any good reason to support McCain, other than he is not Obama.

In addition, as soon as I read "socialist", "messiah", "sheep", "liberal", "communist", "Obomunist", I dismiss the entire subject of the post. It's irrelevant what you may be trying to convey. You (whomever the poster may be) have lost all credibility with me, because you can't leave your (obviously) personal feelings out of it.

Just curious, do you do you dismiss those that do the same with McCain?

Fact is, when it comes to religion or politics, it almost always becomes personal to people.

I can give you good reasons to vote for McCain. Taxes. Under Obama, taxes will go up, and contrary to what he's trying to pass off on the public during his campaign, it will go up on ALL of the middle class and not only those making $250,000 a year.

Obama's stance on Abortion is another good reason to vote for McCain for such a fine upstanding young Catholic woman like yourself.

Experience is another good reason to vote for McCain, Obama's level of inexperience should be a concern for anyone with the problems facing the United States right now.

There, there's three good reasons for you, now, go vote for McCain. :thumb:
