Caldwell is in second place in 2A first district. Caldwell will travel to Mayfield next week. If Mayfield plays the smash mouth football they played Thursday night against Marshall County, Caldwell might have another thing coming. Had Mayfield played that well all season, they'd be 8-1, with only a loss to Fort Campbell in the opener. (Still don't think they could have beaten them)

I agree, Fort Campbell is really tough this year, they are their own worst enemy with the penalties and those are just low-scoring games.

Incorrect about being in second place. Caldwell County is behind Trigg County and Murray and will finish in third place. They will trek to Owensboro Catholic for the first round of the playoffs. Last time those two met in the playoffs was 2000, with Caldwell County picking up the 14-13 win.

The game was closer than the score indicates ... Crittenden had some chances to score, but the offensive line played poorly. Their quarterback had heat on him on virtually every play.

 

Line play will have to get better for the Rockets to do something in the postseason.
