November 1, 200817 yr Are you serious??? Hines Ward is one of the most passionate NFL players who will step on the field. He loves and enjoys the game as much as anyone and just goes out there and plays hard, and lays everything on the line for sixty minutes. He takes pride in blocking and forcing contact, which makes him so much more unique than the rest of the leagues wide outs. So just cause he's a different type of player and personality doesn't mean he's dirty. No matter what you always gotta stick up for the guy who plays that hard and enjoys playing the game that much. :thumb:
November 2, 200817 yr Author I wouldn't. Jacobs has ran over a lot of guys, and I'd say he's more feared by opposing defenses because of his size. He is 6'4" 265 lbs and he is pretty fast. I think Jacobs loose in the secondary is definitely one of the most feared... I also think the list focused too much on big, intimidating defensive players or guys known for hard hits or blocks. I would say a guy like Devin Hester is one of the most feared...teams typically refuse to kick the ball to him. I'd say that's fear. There are other examples...what about Peyton Manning or Brady at QB. There are a lot of different ways to put fear into an opponent.

I don't think people are in the Visitors Locker Room in Heinz Field thinking "Oh no Oh no, we're playing Hines Ward today...OH NO"...No. He's a dirty, cheap-shot, cowardly player. Period. He's not a guy that has his opponents shaking their cleats. I'd say their isn't a player in the league that isn't watching out for Ward on every play down the field. That is called fear and puts him on the list. Other players fear a player that will knock your teeth out if given the opportunity.

And for the record, the hit that put Rivers out for the year was not a cheap shot, not a penalty, and when the NFL reviewed it, there was no fine or warning issued. If anyone says they would rather have the likes of Ocho Cinco on their team instead of Hines Ward, they are obviously not interested in winning.
