October 30, 200817 yr My grandpa taught me to play when I was real young and I have loved it ever since. I first learned to play at the recreation room at Dupont Lodge at Cumberland Falls. I've never gotten to own a table but I plan to buy one soon. I love ping pong and I think I'm fairly good at it. When I went to Jamaica for my Honeymoon I played with some of the locals and they are extremely good at it, they taught me some tricks and I beat them one time out of eight. They can do things with that ball I cannot begin to understand, they tried to teach me but you have to have a table to practice a lot to learn those tricks. I beat the KY Blugrass State Games winner last year though. LOL Are you saying you beat the open medal winner in men's singles? Also, what is the name of the guy you beat?
October 30, 200817 yr Someone needs to get a tourney lined up so these folks can either put up or be quite. I'll come and watch or maybe play a little. I used to have game but I just can't see well enough any more to be competitive. If I wear contacts I can't see it when the ball is close and if I wear bi-focals the ball is blurry all the time.
October 30, 200817 yr Author I went to the NKYTTC yesturday at Newport Middle School! It was amazing there was about twenty different table tennis tables in the gym. Everyone should really go out check it out its on wednesday and saturday nights. There are a lot of really good players there to test your skills out if you really think your good just wait and see these people play!!
October 30, 200817 yr Are you saying you beat the open medal winner in men's singles? Also, what is the name of the guy you beat? I do not know if it was singles or not, but yes I did beat him once out of 4 games we played. He was 19-22 years old at the time so I'm not sure what age group he would've been it. The contest took place in Keene Hall, Richmond. This was one and a half years ago so I assume he had won it 2 years ago from today. His name is Shawn Michael Cloud. He goes by both his first and middle name.

He is a friend of mine from Rockcastle County, we have only had the one opportunity to play. I'd like to try it again but I don't get regular practice.

November 4, 200817 yr I use to play A LOT and use to dominate most anyone I played. Haven't played much in the last year or so. Mostly just play Beer Pong, if anyone wants a challenge in that, contact Original Rook and I!
