Does the World Series time need to be moved

Featured Replies

I wish I could take credit for it, but someone on ESPN mentioned they should just move Game 5 to Milwaukee.

***Course now that I read all the other responses closely, I see Milwaukee has already been mentioned.

With that said, let's move the game to Kansas City. They won't be hosting a World Series game for at least another 20 years, give those fans a chance to see some competitive baseball for once.

I think they need to start the season earlier and have a few more double headers so they can still get their money but finish the 1st week of Oct. I also think they could do a Fri, Sat, Sun kind of deal to help with ratings and earlier start times.

The weather on Friday is going to be in the 60's....it'll be in the 60's Monday in Philly, it happens.....and since this was the first time ever that rain has suspended a World Series game, I would say this is much ado about nothing.

Just shorten the season, I hate how long the MLB season is compared to the other major sports.

It won't get moved up because of the West Coast...

Personally, I'm shocked that Major League Baseball is allowing Philly to host the World Series with all of the inclement weather. I thought for sure they'd move the game to the Marlin's stadium. And it wouldn't matter that Tampa and Miami are only an hour or two away, because I've heard that the "small market" Rays have swept the nation by storm and have fans everywhere in the continental United States!

Shocked? Why would MLB do this? Boston or NY have hosted the series most of the last 12 years. I'm sure Philly fan would love having their home games ripped from them.

The series is already set up on the best days possible. Friday would be the worst possible night to play on. They get the NFL to drop their Sunday game every year, too.

Right...the NHL, NASCAR, PGA, and especially the NBA all just fly by.

I miss when they used to play some of the World Series games during the day. It was mainly on the weekend.

It's called sarcasm. Try reading it again with your sarcasm goggles on.

But I'll play along anyway.

MLB didn't seem to care what Houston fans thought. Why should they treat Philly's fans any differently (other than the fact that Philly fans may egg houses, throw batteries, etc.)
