How did Kues play? Did they dial it down. If Mark had that many yards, I'm gathering that Robbie didn't run the ball much. Mark is a great back, but normally he and Kues split the yards. That's when the option read works best when it's about 50/50. It sounds like they wanted to give Mark the carry, and he carried the O to victory. Huge game.

I heard his name called at least once . But he was hurt in the second half probably was on the ground about five to ten minutes .

All I know is that in the two edge classes 1A and 4A the beef was the disparity between the upper enrollment and lower enrollment was to substantial, and the small schools couldn't compete. By moving to 6 classes the KHSAA substantiated this theory. A school of NCCs size should, in theory, rarely be able to compete with a school the size of Conner. Much less beat them. Sorry if this offends anyone, I just enjoy the small dog coming off the porch and taking the big dog's bone.

I agree Malachi, in theory. However, Beechwood and NCC seem to compete every year with the bigger schools. Commitment and tradition are certainly intangibles not taken into account by enrollment numbers.

 

With wins vs. Conner, Simon Kenton and Ryle, NewCath is now 3-0 in their 6A schedule. If they could pull a win at Campbell Co (which is no small feat) they could take the #2 seed right behind Boone in the district playoffs.
