Harlan gets another win.

Seems like a lifetime ago. I was a 13 year old kid then. Culley would not let all freshman dress so I was on the bus but did not even wear a coat. It was extremely cold and I about froze to death. I remember that much and riding a charter bus and David Hensley running all over Lincoln County. We never could beat Danville and it was our own fault! Back to the future..... I think Harlan will win over Jenkins but by a slim margin. We just don't have the ability to put up a bunch of points. As many have said, these guys are to be commended for playing the hand dealt. I'm proud of all of them. I do feel for the Seniors of this and last years teams. I hope they enjoy(ed) HS football. They may play a few post season games.:thumb: Some of the best memories of my life and I know Outlaw could say the same. There, my longest post yet.

It is certainly not my intention to sound negative about our guys. I have been dis-appointed several times this year by play calling and those calls were not the kids fault. I hope they put up 50 or more points! Maybe the potential is there to do that vs Jenkins. I'd like to see #26 punch one in from the red zone also. :ylsuper: He deserves it. Go Green!!!!!!!!

Id like to see it too but he doesnt care. I drilled into him since he was old enough to walk that football was a team game and all that mattered was the team doing well. He would much rather get the win this week. If they are forunate enough to win, they have a good shot at Allen Central at home. Overall, that district is down a little although Pikeville has played a killer schedule!!

In case I was not clear enough before, I will go on record that Harlan will win at home this Friday against Jenkins. If in Vegas, not that I would consider such, but I would give Jenkins and 13 points.

I was wondering Cowboy, what team did you follow prior to the formation of HCHS? I think that it was probably Cawood after reading some of your posts, with that in mind It didnt seem to annoy you when the Trojans were 2-8 or 1-9 and got to go to Belfry for their annual butt kicking. I don't like this setup either but to again get on this site and take out your frustration on the student athletes of Harlan High School, I can't understand how and why an adult would do such a thing.

This is not about Harlan and Harlan Co. I wish people would try and get past that. Harlan had the chance to play Harlan Co. They may never play each other in a football game and that is OK. (Back to the point of the thread).:thumb:
