But like a previous poster said, we'll have Dice K, Lester, and Beckett in the next 3 games starting. I still have confidence that we'll win the next 3 games. If we don't, so be it, congrats to the Rays on a great season. However, the Sox have been in this position two times previously in the past 4 years, and what do they have to show for it? World Series championships. I'm not saying it's over until that last out is recorded!

I think he's talking about 2004...down 3-0 to the Yankees and came back to win 8 straight games to win the World Series.

 

Or the 2007 season, down 3-1 to the Indians, and won 7 straight games to win the World Series.

It's going to be real tough for Boston to win the Beckett game. He is clearly hurting...

 

He's not got it at all right now and really hasn't been 100% all season. Neither is Papi, Lowell isn't even on the Roster. The Rays have endured their injuries and gotten healthy and hot at the right time. It will be a tall order to win today, let alone 2 in Tampa. It obviously can be done but this just feels a little different than 2004 or 2007.

That was the saddest thing about it. It wasn't even his fault, Henderson picked a pitch off of his shoetops and hit it out. It wasn't like he hung a curveball or threw a fastball down the middle. And what a lot of people forget is the Angels actually scored a run in the bottom of the 9th to tie it.
