Red Sox / Rays: Game 4 Updates

Featured Replies

Dice-K will be in game 5 with Lester most likely in game 6. As well as Lester pitched all year I don't think you can count on two bad outings. I think this could possibly go to 7 games and who knows what might happen then.

That's my hope. I still can't believe how awful Lester and Beckett were in games 2 & 3. I expected as much from Wakefield, but not those two.

Very small chance that Boston wins the next three games against the Rays. I mean yeah it's possible but I doubt it. The Rays are simply outplaying everyone and they have a lot of talent on that team. No one can stop them but themselves.

Series over.

That's what the Indians thought last year too....And the Yankees in 04....You would think people would know to not count Boston out until the final out is recorded...

Gosh Upton's going to be good...

:thumb: And the scary thing is Longoria is going to be even better....I'm interested to see if this team is a one hit wonder or if they'll have staying power.

Boston wins this series, I'll put on a Boston Avatar for 2 weeks.

I'm not saying they're going to, but with their recent history, you'd have to be crazy to just say this one is over. They've proven they're at their best with their backs against the wall.

FWIW, I have a feeling it goes 7, but that Tampa ends up pulling it out now...

Could be true.

I just looked and 18 of the 25 guys on the roster posted on their site, which I'm guessing is not their postseason roster, are under 30.

This is awesome and this Rays team is going to be good for a long time IMO.

They were talking on ESPN radio today about how the Rays patience has finally paid off.

All of their big time players are 25 or younger. Crawford is 28 and Carlos Pena is 30.

I mean really they are stacked. Longoria is signed long term. Their pitching is going to be outstanding. I mean the potential on this team is crazy good.

Not trying to be a killjoy or anything - I love the fact that Tampa Bay is doing what they're doing - but what are the chances in this day and age that this team will stay intact over the next few years?
