Raceand's JV continues with their unbeaten season tonight with a 36-12 win over Greenup Co.. Congrats again to the young Rams, Raceland football looks to be in very goos shape for the future.

Raceland's Varsity is a 5-0 right now and I beleive that this one makes the JV at 5 or 6 wins (not sure) and 0 losses.

Score it correct. The Raceland JV is playing very well. The varsity is 5-0, and the JV is 5-0. Great to be a Ram.

I think this was the final score Oldrambler. I had to leave before it ended as Raceland was moving the ball downfield. It was 36-12 at this point.

The young Rams have some excellent talent coming up. The QB displayed a strong arm tonight and his WR's did an excellent job route running. The young version of "Orange Crush" were very physical on defense and swarmed to the football on every play. Coach Fannin & Coach Salmons do a nice job with these young men.

 

I also want to say congrats to the GC JV players. They played hard on every play and never quit.

Racelands defense was in the backfield alnight pressuring the Greenup County qb(#9) Austin Johnson had close to 4 sacks if not more. The qb for Greenup has a nice arm his wr's and rb's did not help to much in this game alot of drop balls and he did throw a couple of int's from the pressure. The Rams offense looked good also Marcus Reed has nice speed once he gets to the outside and gets going hard to catch to him. Tyler Fraley is throwing the ball pretty good right now and some of the wideouts are playing good right now also such as Justin Ratcliff, Johnny Shear,Scotty Craft,Sam Heineman,and the o-line is doing a good job blocking. This team will have to continue to get better because this will be the staring line up next year with a couple of players playing varisty right now.

Congrats to the young Rams. Oldrambler is in need of a few good men to go retrieve our Ram on the loose in Huntington.:laugh:

We have now even had a couple of our Ashland friends volunteer to help :lol., Hey doc, maybe you could bring something to sudate the critter and we shoot it with a dart filled with it. Jerry Clower style..."Ahhhh, shoot that thing!!":D

Huntington will never be the same after a crew of Raceland fans led by myself, cvillecat (he is an excellent shot with a bow should we want to use an arrow for the "dart"), Ram, sidelinedoc (he will have the meds on hand to sudate the beast).

I just have to add that #52 Austin Johnson and #63 Luke Bonzo had some great defense tonight. Great game Raceland JV!:dancingpa

I am so proud of the way our JV team and coaches have remained focused on each and every game. It would be easy to be caught up in the success of the varsity team and not give maximum effort, but they haven't done that. Koudos to the entire roster!!!!!!!

I did not hear the names but one comment that I did keep hearing was how this Ram JV team will "hit you". They are very good defensively as well as the young Farley at qb and the offense.

This group of JV player, is the first that I really had a lot to do with in JFL. This years Seniors, is the first group that I remember in JFL. And, I can tell you that the senior class has been real good all the way though. We all knew at a early age, that this senior class was going to be good.

 

This JV team, even in JFL, would hit you. They have always been a very aggressive group, people saying they are "defensively strong" does not surprise me. This is another good group of OL/DL. Austin Johnson and Brian Caudill are two good linemen, who I expect big things from.

JFL is where the whole thing starts as far as a good overall program. Raceland has always had a top notch JFL program. Ashland and Russell have also had very good and long standing JFL programs.

One imo can look at these three (Ashland, Raceland and Russell) h.s. programs in our area and their JFL programs and it is not very hard to tell the relationship of a good JFL program to a winning High School football tradition.

The NKY area has outstanding youth football programs as well and we can certainly see what kind of h.s. fotball is played in that area.

Raceland JV will play Fairview at home on Monday night at 6:00. I would like to see the JV team go 6-0 just like the Varsity. This is going to be a make up game. The Eagles cancelled the game before. GO RAMS!!!!!!!!
