October 5, 200817 yr Peyton Manning has a win fall in his lap as Sage Rosenfels blows a 27-10 fourth quarter lead. It will be interesting to see the studio clowns try and call this something other than a massive choke job.
October 5, 200817 yr You have to try very, very hard to give away a game like that. They folded faster than the French Army when confronted by a troop of Boy Scouts with Swiss Army Knives.
October 5, 200817 yr Author No word of a choke out of the CBS crew yet. And please, Peyton lovers, don't try and tell me he had some great game. The Colts had this one fall in their laps. They were dead.

I'm not a Peyton lover, and yes the Colts offense was flat for the whole game but good QB's make plays and when it's 4th and 6 on a do or die play and Peyton comes through then it's something. The defense played great in that last 4 minutes and is the reason the Colts won this game.
October 5, 200817 yr If anyone ever wondered why age Rosenfels was not a starter in the NFL now they know.
October 5, 200817 yr It's not like it was against a good team either. The Texans were 0-3 and the Colts were 1-2 I believe.
October 5, 200817 yr Nice catch by the Colt's WR Wayne in the end zone!! That will be on the highlight reel.
October 5, 200817 yr The headlines in the Indy paper should read "Christmas in October."Because the Colts D forced two turnovers late and the Colts capitalized on them?

The rest of the game it was dink and dunk, with not much in the way of yardage. He looked more like Neil O'Donnell than anything today. The Colts defense didn't really play all that great in the final minutes either. They just took advantage of three ginormous early Christmas gifts. If Houston's running the ball at the end -- the way they'd been doing with GREAT success all game -- the studio clowns would have features cued up about "What's wrong with the Colts?"
October 5, 200817 yr Author Because the Colts D forced two turnovers late and the Colts capitalized on them? They forced nothing. They were gifted to them by a stupid career backup quarterback who had one hand firmly around his own neck. They back-doored into a win.

Why would Peyton lovers want to tell you that, they don't have to convince you of anything, it doesn't matter what you think. Colts won.

With the defense actually they did play good. Texans had been moving the ball right through the Colts defense all day until they came up with that fumble on 3rd & 9. Then the next drive it was 3 & 8 and the Colts forced another fumble. I don't know what else you want them to do considering they had been shut down most of the day. Freeney was contained for about 3 quarters against a rookie LT I believe.
