Colts 31 Texans 27

With the defense actually they did play good. Texans had been moving the ball right through the Colts defense all day until they came up with that fumble on 3rd & 9. Then the next drive it was 3 & 8 and the Colts forced another fumble. I don't know what else you want them to do considering they had been shut down most of the day. Freeney was contained for about 3 quarters against a rookie LT I believe.

They didn't force anything. If Rosenfels takes care of the ball the way any normal player would, this thread title reads very differently. They caught three huge breaks, pure and simple. Stop acting like their defense is good. It's atrocious.

On the first fumble yeah it was a poor decision, but on the second one that happens to QB's all the time. Mathis came from behind and forced the fumble by stripping the ball from Rosenfels.

Stop taking my words out of context. I never said their defense was a god send or that Peyton was the greatest QB ever but the Colts won. The defense is the main reason for that. Peyton made a couple plays at the end to help them win.

Mathis made a good play, yes. But the point is it was completely stupid for Rosenfels to be out there like that. Why aren't they ramming the ball down Indy's throat in the final five minutes with Slaton and Green, the way they had been all game?

The only credit the Colts deserve is for being experienced enough at winning to know how to be opportunistic when a gift falls in their lap.

Yes, had this been against a decent team this probably wouldn't have happened, had this been against a QB that knows what to do in that situation then it probably wouldn't have happened either. But it's just the way it works I guess. The Colts escaped with it and they were lucky. Probably won't happen again and I doubt the Colts get more than 8 or 9 wins this season.

I can't wait 'til they come to Pittsburgh. That's going to be fun. :fire:

Is Tamme still hurt?

I didn't see him play a down. Some guy backing up Clark got several catches today, including a TD.

I didn't read the thread, but I would just like to jump in for a second and state my thankfulness that Sage Rosenfels is not the QB in Tennessee.

That's all. Thank you and carry on.

Jim, can you please explain your hatred for Peyton Manning? Thanks.

I didn't read all of the posts in this thread so forgive me if it has been brought up, but why isn't Kubiak or Shanahan getting killed over this? Your up 10 with 3:30 left, why would you do anything but hand it off 3 times and punt if need be?

The Texans turned it over 3 times in their final 10 plays & blew a 17-point lead with 8:18 left in the game. Now that's a choke job.

Actually, I think the 17-point lead evaporated in 2:10 of actual game time. Very similar to the Monday Night game when Indy erased a huge deficit in Tampa in about 5 minutes.
