KENARTII Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 How did Tyler Arthur do? I heard from his grandma that he played pretty well. I live in Mt. Sterling and didn't get to see the game. I had to work. Tucker if you read this let me know. Thanks.
HOMELESS CAMEL Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Congrats to the Lions on the win. :thumb:
JC Alumni 76 Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Unfortunately, once again, Lawrence Co. leaves me scratching my head. Congrats to the Lions and better luck to LC next week.
ryanparker Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Congratulations to Boyd County. Lawrence County has taken some tough close losses this year to some good teams. If they continue to battle, that really says something about the character of their team. Next week it's at Russell.
Ram Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Congratulations to Boyd County on a great district win. Should be a show down with Boyd County and Greenup County.
ryanparker Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 That should be a good game. Having seen both Greenup and Boyd play, I would think Boyd has the advantage...but you never know as Greenup has the potential to improve as the season wears on. Do all the teams in their district make the playoffs anyway?
Hasbeen Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Wouldn't this have been an upset of biblical proportions just a short time ago?
Ram Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 That should be a good game. Having seen both Greenup and Boyd play, I would think Boyd has the advantage...but you never know as Greenup has the potential to improve as the season wears on. Do all the teams in their district make the playoffs anyway? Yes all four (Greenup County, Rowan County, Lawrence County, and Boyd County) make the playoffs, but a district championship is nice to win, plus the home field for the playoffs is really what is at stake.
ryanparker Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Isn't it crazy that a winless team could still make the playoffs?
Ram Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Yes it is, but when given lemons, make the lemonade. I don't know what we can do about it, it is what it is.
ryanparker Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Yeah...looking at the bright side...I guess it does present the remote possibility of a once-in-a-lifetime Villanova-Georgetown, Douglas-Tyson upset! :-)
