He thought I needed to be introduced to Warren's music, so he bought me a copy of "Exciteable Boy." I was hooked from then on.

I'd have to say "Excitable Boy" and "Poor Poor Pitiful Me" are my top two. "Hit Somebody (The Hockey Song)" is way up the list as well. After that, maybe "Boom Boom Mancini," "Carmelita" and "Lawyers, Guns and Money." One of the cuts off his last album, "Keep Me In Your Heart," is one of the more beautiful tunes he ever did. It's the last track on the record, and a very moving goodbye tune. Tough to listen to it without shedding a tear or two.

This has always been part of it for me, but even above that is the stark contrast his offbeat lyrics were with relation to his beautiful arrangements. I always felt the song "Excitable Boy" best exemplified this contrast with the dark lyrics and upbeat instrumentation, and that's why it's my favorite tune by him.

April 4, 201016 yr You into any of the big heavy metal bands? You've given your opinion on Metallica. How about Slayer, Anthrax or Megadeth? Just curious. I only listen to Metallica and Megadeth, but I'm thinking about giving Slayer, Anthrax and Anvil more of a chance. (I know Anvil isn't one of the "big" heavy metal bands). OK halfback Slayer is my favorite band of all time!!! I suggest to you Diabolos in Musica.Released in 1998.The first two tunes set the tone of this album/Bitter Peace/Deaths Head. I listened heavily to Anthrax's first few offerings through a fellow board member I grew up with, FarBeyondDriven, and enjoyed them, but moved away from Anthrax and most metal as I began getting into hip-hop in the '80s.
