Dayton @ Lynn Camp is finally here. After a contoversial ending last year, we get the rematch down here. What does everyone think about this one?:confused:

 

What happened that was controversial at the end?

Dayton is a good football team with a good defense and they have played a tough schedule. They just turned the ball over to much. They were too physical for Lynn Camp last year and I expect the same this year. The Green Devils will have a nice bus ride home. 35-21 Dayton

Long bus ride, revenge, turnovers all point to a Lynn Camp 10+ point win. GreenDevils may not see .500 this year.

There was no controversy in the game last year. It was an extremely hard fought game for both teams last year, and it seems it is hard for some people to accept the defeat. I though both teams played their hearts out and left everything out on the field. It was a good game, and don't smear that fact by saying there was controversy.

 

Dayton is extremely young with only 3 or 4 seniors starting, combined with a fairly tough schedule has left them at 0 and 4. I don't know anything about Lynn Camp so I can't make an accurate prediction to the game, but with the Wagner kid out it has to be a blow to the team, because he was IMO the best player on their team last year.

I was well dont know much about Lynn Camp but from what you guys say about Wagner I would have to give them the advantage. Dayton needs to get in together in about 2 weeks they got a huge game.

Maybe someone can fill me in. What was this about last year?

The band would play Loud and constantly when we were on Offense. It was crazy. No rule against it, just common athletic courtesy usually. Just curious if there would be more of the same so that we could be prepared.

Ok, from what I've been able to gather from a source or three, there were a lot of sketchy things going on. I heard about the possible block in the back. I also heard that there were some sketchy things going on on LC's last drive too. Something about a guy having cramps every play when LC had no TO's. Haven't been able to find anything about a TD ignored, but it was a year ago, so...

 

I heard about the band deal too. The ref stopped the game multiple times right? Must have been a big deal if that happened. Can't imagine they'd make that trip though. I've heard that the band still plays at home games...

 

 

All in all, it sounds like this is a shame that this series will end after this year. Makings of a cross state rivalry...

Joes run at the end as time expired. He knocked the pylon over as he got in for a score for the score. Refs called him do

I was not at the game last year but I remember someone posting a pic of the block in the back that resulted in a touchdown for Dayton.

 

The player cramping up was our star running back so he had to come out after each official time out so we were on the short end of that stick.

 

The touchdown that was ignored was our last drive when we broke the goal line but the players progress was ruled stopped as he fell forward into the end zone.

 

We dont have a band at Lynn Camp but we have a good sound system and a collection of AC/DC, Metallica......ect.
