Ashland/Russell Updates

Ashland 6 Russell 3 at the half.

Fast moving game!

I listened to the first half. Seems like both teams ran the ball up the middle for the most part. The clock didn't stop very often.

Kickoff fumbled to open half, Ashland quickly capitalizes

I turned it off at the half, it sounded like then that Ashland was pretty much pushing Russell all over the place early in the game. Ashland was stopping themselves. (that was the wlgc Russell crew saying that)

Ashland leads 29-10 with about 9 minutes to go in the game.

This does not bode well for Russell with running teams like Belfry and Lou. Central in 3A.. early in season though

Ashland forces Russell to punt, but the Tomcats fumble the punt, and Russell recovers. Russell has only 6 first downs in the game tonight.

Ashland with nearly 300 yards rushing according to Dicky.

Ashland stops Russell, but then fumbles again on their 2nd play. It's Ashland's 4th fumble of the night.

With the way this one as sounded he only ones that has stopped Ashland has been Ashland themselves. Ashland has domnated this one.
