I'd be willing to listen to a lot of proposals from Colorado. Holliday is the big-stick RH bat the Reds need but haven't had since Greg Vaughn.

 

 

I agree he's a beast and wouldn't mind having him at all. But this Team has proven over the last several years that leading the world in HR's doesn't equal wins. I would like to see a Team of hungry young guys who hit for average, can run, and give 100% at all times.

HT. I believe those guys along with Volquez will get huge raises. Heck, even if they only get double what their making now they still wouldn't be making CP money combined. :irked:

I understand where your coming from, but after what the Rays did with Longoria, I see Bruce and Votto getting similar deals.

Bay, Nady, not much difference. Nady is about 3mill cheaper though. The main reason I even mentioned NY was because they will be making alot more moves than the Red Sox.

I'd love to see them go after Vlad Guerrero. He probably wouldn't be interested, but would go well with the younger Dominican players.

Your 100% correct on all accounts. I think only Manny compares to him right now as far as RH hitters. I just don't see the Reds putting that much $$$ in to one player. I guess what what I'm trying to say is, he's not even in the disscusion.

Ok, based on? It's not about going after the best players in baseball. Remember, the Reds are a "small market" Team. Names that I'm throwing out are players I actually think the Reds could go after and maybe work a deal with their current Team, not to mention afford.

One is a career .900 OPS guy, the other's a career .800 guy. They're the same age, and Bay's hit 60 more HRs and drove in 170 more runs, and scored nearly 200 more runs.
