Perry Central only won by 1 point, I still believe LCC is worthy of a top 10 ranking.

LCC beat Harlan County and won by 50+ against Greenup County.

I was mainly shocked to see Breathitt County drop out.

They have a losing record...Yeah they lost to 2 top 5 teams in the poll but how can you have someone with a losing record in the top 10?

Maybe a few more weeks Harlan Co. may crack the Top 10.

??? PCC is 2-1, and you think they should get in after one upset win? I agree, the Mountain Top 10 is a joke, but PCC doesn't deserve to be in it.

Thats the thing I disagree with the most with people. I tend to rank the team based on their 'GOOD' Level, not their win loss record. I believe this is also they way BGP votes, they don't discriminate because of close losses to good teams.

Why not? Just because a team lost to 2 good opponents isnt enough to say that they arent worthy of a Top 10 ranking. Using your anology, Lou. Central should have never won Class 3A last year after a 5-5 regular season. Some teams take the high road with tough competition to get ready for the playoffs instead of the easy road.

Exactly. That's all fine & dandy but just because they are playing tough teams now & losing to those teams to get ready for the playoffs down the road, does not mean they deserve to be in the MT10 at this moment...

If you want the Top 10 teams, then yes it does. But if you want the Top 10 Records, then lets just throw Allen Central in there with there 3-0 record.

I think Southwestern and Sheldon Clark should be higher in the poll, IMHO

What about Harlan County WYMT show some respect!!! They are more than one team across the the Mountain now besides Bell County. I'm not saying they should be in the top 5 but they are good enough to be in the top 10. LCC just caught us on a good week the first week now that we have learned to play together we might not be stopped the rest of the year IF we can stay healthy and out of trouble!!!

I look at this and I feel a little better about Lawrence County's record. They've played Sheldon Clark and Belfry and they will play Prestonsburg and Letcher County? That's 4 of the Mountain top 10. Five of the top ten if they run into Bell in the playoffs which is likely. Throw in Russell and Breathitt as the other two non-district games remaining and it looks like this team will be battle tested if nothing else.
