Understand what you may be saying, but don't sterotype. Seems they have been working to clean up that old sterotype. Did some stupid things in this one. But your statement is almost like saying anyone who has played at Dayton is a cheap shot artist. I know this isn't likely what you meant, but...

 

Oh and I for one don't have any problem with the score. Want them out of the end zone? Keep them out. BWood probably could have won by 70 or 80 had they wanted.

I'm sure Bwood coaches wanted to score before half so that the clock would have been a running clock the entire 2nd half. I believe that happens when you go up by 45. This could actually be looked at as good sportsmanship since it would have shortened the game. Not picking on Dayton but I'm sure the game couldn't get over fast enough for the coaches and players. It's not like you can work on things when you're out matched like that. Best of luck to the Devils I'm sure you will turn it around.

Running clock means the clock will not stop as normal on change of possession, out of bounds, incomplete pass, first downs. It will stop for penalty administration, following a score, charged timeouts and injury and other officials timeouts.

 

If Beechwood had scored before the half to make it 48-0, the second half would have started with a running clock. Once the clock starts running, the clock operation rules will not change again regardless of the margin.

Why doesn't Beechwood move up to 2A? , it can't be any fun or helpful playing that schedule.
