September 11, 200818 yr Author  I love this place. LBBC posts about an email circulating and somehow ties that to the Messiah complex of Obama. Dems, raise a rucus and Reps point out Obama has no one to blame for himself. Meanwhile, I post a legitimate newspiece about the Joint Chiefs of Staff stating we are having severe problems in our War on Terror on the Afghani front and so far no one cares. I love it. But you can bet the old Iraqi vet story will surface again and we'll be told how the Libs are not addressing the important issues that face us. I did not SOMEHOW tie it to a Messiah complex. Obama supporters according to the article where sending out emails saying Obama is to Jesus as Palin is to Ponchas Pilate. To use an old testing analogy.
September 11, 200818 yr Author Aren't all Christians supposed to be "Christ-like?!";) I guess except Palin who is being compared to Pilate.
September 11, 200818 yr I guess except Palin who is being compared to Pilate. Pilate "washed his hands clean of everything." Maybe Palin did the same with all the complaints about her governorship!
September 11, 200818 yr Author Pilate "washed his hands clean of everything." Maybe Palin did the same with all the complaints about her governorship! If an 80% approval rating is "all the complaints about her govenorship" than I would be interested to know, in your opinion, what is the level of complaints about the Democrat Congress who has a 17% approval rating? If the question is too hard for you or you don't want to answer it, feel free to take neither the hard road by making a stance, just answer "present."

I'm just joking around with everythign in this thread. I'm supporting Obama, but I don't compare him to Jesus. I don't compare anyone to Jesus, although, yes, we are all supposed to be "Christ-like." I understand Palin's approval rating is through the roof, although the media, etc. are obviously trying to find as much dirt as possible on her. I also understand that with the election of a Democratic Congress in 2006 nothing really got better. That might be because of their policies or maybe because of the Republican control of the executive branch. I'm guessing it's a bit of both. I see nothing wrong with McCain or Palin personally. I see nothing wrong with the majority of Republican ideals. I have no problem with any family members, friends, or BGP members who support McCain/Republicans. I just happen to associate myself more with the ideas of the Democratic Party. If Obama wins, I'll be happy. If Obama loses, it won't be the end of the world. I'm simply joking around with what seems to be a silly idea in a silly thread being debated until we're all silly.

Senator Ted "Pork Barrel" Stevens of Alaska is under federal indictment, is probably one of the most corrupt, money wasting senators we have.........yet he has an approval rating higher than Palin's in Alaska. I'll go out on a limb and assume they aren't too picky up there. As long as they get their tax money for their projects, they're happy. Not taking a position here, just making an observation.
September 11, 200818 yr I did not SOMEHOW tie it to a Messiah complex. Obama supporters according to the article where sending out emails saying Obama is to Jesus as Palin is to Ponchas Pilate. To use an old testing analogy. To be honest, I'm sure some followers of Obama hand him Messiah like status in their minds and lives. The notion that you are offended because someone said that Jesus was a community organizer and Obama was a community organizer is the part where I think you're stretching it. To be honest I have been offended by the slam on the term "community organizer." Whereas I understand the dig from the GOP I try to hope, pray and believe that I and/or my church are all engaged in community organizing. It is at the community level that this world can be changed by the power of Christ (not Obama). Yet this is the first time I've posted how offended I am by the rhetoric that came out of the RNC on that point. Why? Because it's just rhetoric. Just like this email you quote. BTW, it is Pontius Pilate. Ponchas was Cisco's sidekick. (Please note the wink and nod. The above correction was meant in fun.)

My gosh, don't you know it's an election year?
