September 8, 200818 yr True This is a prediction You can't compare someone who is, to someone who is not. Again another prediction. If McCain wins, and his 4 years are like Bush's last 4 years it could really backfire on her and end her political. Imo it could be better for her if McCain loses then win. Would yours be a prediction too?
September 8, 200818 yr Author I'm sure that you have some...but evidence?I have as much evidence as those who claim that Palin was McCain's hail Mary pass. Based on her performance and the desperate smears against her, it looks like McCain knew very well what he was doing. Just wait until McCain flip-flops on ANWR drilling. Obama and Biden will gleefully ridicule McCain as a flip-flopper while they help him shift the focus of the campaign to the impact of high energy costs on the economy. That is where Palin's real value to this ticket lies. She will slice and dice Biden and Obama on the energy issue. I am hoping for a McCain/Palin field trip to the ANWR proposed drilling site in the next month. They can stand in the middle of the site and ask the media who brave the cold to pan the horizon and notice than they can see the entire 2,000 acre site from a single central vantage point. If they make the visit at night, they can have flares lit around the periphery of the site for added visual impact. I suggested months ago that McCain should pick Palin and make affordable energy his top campaign issue. The Palin pick was a no-brainer, IMO. Conclusive evidence will have to wait until McCain writes his memoirs.
September 8, 200818 yr Author Again...evidence? At age 72, McCain would become the oldest president ever elected. At age 76, he would break his own record. That seems like a pretty good foundation for my claim that McCain will not likely run for a second term. If he does, then Palin can wait until 2016 to make her run.
September 8, 200818 yr Author So these are your opinions. No problem. That's right. I am not a member of McCain's inner circle and neither are the people reporting speculation to the contrary.
September 8, 200818 yr I could have sworn McCain has been on the record saying he was only interested in being a one term president, but I may be mistaken.
September 8, 200818 yr Except no one is talking about McCain. So, why is Obama and the Dems so concerned about Palin? And where in the world is Joe Biden, he seems to be MIA?
September 8, 200818 yr So, why is Obama and the Dems so concerned about Palin? And where in the world is Joe Biden, he seems to be MIA? Biden was on George Snuggalofous Sunday morning.
September 8, 200818 yr So, why is Obama and the Dems so concerned about Palin? And where in the world is Joe Biden, he seems to be MIA? He's #2...which is not nearly as important as #1...unless you are a Republican I guess. I don't know if "concerned" is the term I would use. I would more say that they now have a whole new set of questions to ask when it comes to Palin.
September 9, 200818 yr Is that bad? Or could it be bad that the starting QB is being overshadowed by the 2nd string, it has been known to cause friction, and with politician who have bigger egos then football players, it would concern me a little. Well don't you let that concern you one little old bit. McCain and Palin are going to get along marvelously.
September 9, 200818 yr Biden was on George Snuggalofous Sunday morning. And Meet the Press. You are right. It was with Brokaw not Georgie Porgie.
