In terms of Cooper they are going to struggle but some of the kids on the team really do play hard. Without any weight facility they are really behind the ball. I think that it is ok for them to play at a 6a level.

It looks like Coach Borchers will right the ship

and with other area schools losing great senior classes last year and at the end of this year. Experience will play a huge part next year. Dont be too surprised if next year the kids from Cooper find a way into the playoffs. They have good talent and skill postions if they can get some big boys on that line NKY 6a schools may want to watch out next year. Experience is huge and by playing at a varsity level for a whole year a lot of these sophmores will be more then capable to fill in role for next season.

Its going to be a rough year for Cooper this year. They are a first year program, and playing a pretty tough schedule. For the parents and fans of Cooper, I just want to give some advice. Be Patient! Coach Borchers is a good coach, and had a nice staff around him. Just give him sometime, and he will turn this program into a very good program. Every year you should start to see a little progress, and in 4 to 5 years I think things will be going very well there at Cooper.

The rebar and the sprinkler head were 2 different issues. And yes a coach can hold up a game. The field was walked before the game and cleared by the refs. It is well into this weeks game and I wont live in the past. Ryle has a very good program and I hope they do well this year. Cooper will learn fast and I look for them to do very well next year as long as they keep their spirits up.
