I heard Palmer wants to go to Asbury with former HC player Travis Martin.

Owen should have alot of talent in Matt Harris,Royce Neeley,Jordan Cox,and Collin Gamble

I heard that Cox was hitting low 90's on the radar gun. I clocked him last winter at 84.

I heard Collin Gamble will be splitting time between baseball and track. I believe Royce Neeley is a very underrated prospect in the 8th region. I hear he has a few small schools interested, maybe Shawnee State University.

Neeley should have a good year.

Cox and Neeley are both throwing hard. Owen should have solid pitching with theses two on the mound this season. Ive also heard rumors of Cox throwing low 90's, and i watched Neeley hit a consitstent 86 and sometimes higher over the past summer.

Hey HCJ45 did Henry County lose a kid to Shelby. Is that going to hurt the team.

 

Yes they did lose a kid, named Taylor Boone i beleive. Correct me if i'm wrong:confused:.

Jeremy Turpin and Jacob Russell from Anderson county will be 2 of the top players in the region

 

Turpin is the best in the region by far. If he were only 6 foot.

Russell is average at best. The kid from Shelby and North Oldham would be #2 and #3 but Turpin can carry a team on his back with great range at SS and an excellent lead-off man. The big question will be if Shelby can develop a shutdown pitcher. Anderson doesn't have one pitcher to keep you scoreless.

I would have to put Clarkson as the best and he will easily be the biggest recruit. Turpin and a handful of others can all make a claim at being the second best player. Russell has the potential to be a monster, he can throw hard and he can hit a ton. If Russell consistently peforms up to his capabilities then he can be the shutdown pitcher for AC needs and be a major hitter in the lineup. I wouldn't describe him as "average at best", he is a kid that hasn't played up to his potential though.

Just a little update on a scrimmage Saturday. Shelby vs North Bullett. Shelby starting pitcher struggled throwing strikes and had a bad 1 inning and NB scored 4 with only 1 hit. Shelby scored 1 in the bottom with Clarson hitting a triple in the gap and scoring on a pass ball. Both teams swithced pitchers about ever 2 innings and they did a good job after that. They played a bunch of innings with the younger kids getting in after the 5th. Shelby has a great young group of talent and will make a difference with time. They are going to struggle with pitching and NB look like their pitching was better than average as a team.

How did North Bullitt look? I here they have two pitchers throwing 90 and look to challenge Bullitt East for District and maybe make a run for a regional title...

If they had one they didn't use them. the kids that they threw did a good job and made the plays behind them.

Is Palmer going to school anywhere? He is good player just a little small. As far as for the Boone kid he has not really showed anythig over at Shelby yet.

 

Haven't heard any scoop on Palmer. As far as the Boone kid, I don't think he has played a game for Shelby. I heard he played for Shelbyville's Junior Legion team last summer at third base. He apparently did very well for them. He played at third and also pitched an inning during their scrimmage against Owen Co.

Palmer is going to Berea or Asbury.
