I think it is something that everyone needs to be reminded of if we want to compare apples to apples.

Moeller was quite large. They also were not fast.

 

Only 5 lineman listed in this sophomore class at Rock Heaven.

 

Would Buehner have benefitted playing versus Oldham County, maybe, maybe not. Soph Brohm and Leonhardt both faired well handing the ball off for Tigers vs. the Colonels. Their passing left a great deal to be desired. Odds are neither will start as varsity QBs. Buehner is the man for next year. Some super 8th grader or freshman may be better suited for the Tigers in two years.

 

Kragthorpe is a different QB this year compared to last with some time to see the field. He has looked sharp and with Jr Ryan moving to DB, he is the heir apparent. Now as long as Mr. Jurich and Mr. Kragthorpe stick around, the Rocks are in good shape at QB for the next couple of seasons.

I would say 20 of 22 is not accurate. Kragthorpe (QB), Nix (WR), Steffey (WR), Smith (WR), Tencza (RB), Meyer (DB) all started for the Rocks, and are all sophomores. I know, that's only 6 of 22, those are just the ones I know about.

Brohm had 8 passing plays and Loehnert had none. They did not need to pass with the emergence of Hall at tailback.

Sorry Park, can't help you on the numbers, but someone answered your question. Thanks 1791, even though Frederick's pass was incomplete, it was a rocket. Sure hope he gets more touches.

Good work ROCKS, I for one would much rather give a player reps on the JV rather than having them stand on the sidelines during the varsity game. The only way to get better is to play!!!

Maybe other teams sould play some juniors at the JV level! The system at the Rock seems to be producing state championships (18 and counting).
