If Odom is ready to go week 1 that is a HUGE upgrade to our D. Everyone says we did nothing to improve our D but I see a lot of things that will be better than last year.

Does it matter if they aren't disclosing all the information about Chad right now? The Patriots don't seem to be opening the book up on Tom Brady's injury...what about Peyton Manning?

The difference is we know Tom Brady is fine and the "injury" might be nothing more than a ruse to keep him out of pre-season games.

 

While Manning's injury is legit, it wouldn't shock me at all if he was kept out just to avoid anything in pre-season.

 

We can all pretty much assume the Bengals aren't smart enough to operate a lemonade stand properly. While everything with Once Doce could work out, just how many times have we seen a Bengal story with a happy/positive ending.

 

To answer the question, no, they don't have to disclose anything til the regular season. We have just all see the warning signs before with this team in regards to anything and it usually doesn't end well.

Mort reported that the initial x-rays on Brady showed a stress fracture in his foot, but later tests showed only a deep bone bruise. Sounds like that situation was initially scarier than we thought...imagine what the media frenzy would have been like had they received a report that Brady had a stress fracture.

Chad also did 20 pushups for the media yesterday to prove he was ready to go. It sounds like he'll be playing next Sunday.

Rivers, Odom, got rid of Justin Smith and the secondary got some expirence last year. Thats an upgrade at 2 of our biggest problems last year wouldn't you say?

If Odom can get pressure in the backfield then yes he is an upgrade. Rivers is a rookie, jury is out on him. I don't think the secondary has proven itself yet. I do question the intensity and desire of this team. They have been sleepwalking through preseason.
