In Kentucky, when has there ever been unity with the DNC? Even when former Rep., D-KY 4th Ken Lucas was our Congressman, he rarely if ever agreed with the platform of his own Party! :thumb: If Obama carries Kentucky, the 2008 election will join the Goldwater, McGovern, and Mondale losses as case studies on how not to run a presidential campaign. Obama will not carry Kentucky and the margin will not be close. McCain may even have a shot at carrying Floyd and Knott Counties. :lol:

Good analysis. The focus this week, at least initially, will be on the Clintons and Hillary's bitter supporters. If she does not enthusiastically rally her supporters behind Obama, then it will be a long week for Obama regardless of how well he reads his prepared speech.

This Hillary supporter will never be enthusiastic about Obama. I hope it's a long week for him and a long next few months also. I may have voted for him if he had put Hillary on the ticket but now I wouldn't vote for him if you paid me to.

You know, you take that prepared speach shot at every opportunity. I have no doubt that Senator Obama has speach writers, as does every other presidential candidate. Senator Obama has shown in the past that he writes quite well. He wrote two books that in style closely resemble his speaches. I take that as an indication that he either participates very closely in writing his own speaches or that his speach writers have absorbed his style. I can understand that some people have policy differences with Senatr Obama. What I don't understand is a pathological need to paint those you disagree with using half truths, inuendo and name calling. I am left to assume one of two things. Either you really believe that anyone that disagrees with you must be inherently evil or you don't really believe the tripe you spout.

I am glad to here it. I just cannot help thinking that this continuing Hillary-Obama public feud is not just part of a plan to add drama and draw viewers to the Democratic Convention. However, I am pretty sure that there are many Clinton supporters who might turn on Hillary herself if she takes part in a manipulative convention melodrama.

:lol: There is nothing untrue about the point that I make about Obama not being good at providing clear answers to simple questions - no matter how many times that I make the same point.

 

People who may not have noticed this fact before the Rick Warren Q & A session can hardly ignore the fact now. There is a good reason that Obama boasted that he would debate McCain "anywhere, anytime," and then got quiet when McCain took up his challenge.

 

Obama is smart enough to understand that he is very inexperienced and lacks the in depth knowledge that 25 years in the US Senate and a military career gives one - even if Obama's followers have been a little slow to notice. Obama is wisely minimizing opportunities for voters to make a side-by-side comparison of his command of the issues with McCain's experience and knowledge of the same issues.

 

If Hillary had realized sooner just how narrow and shallow Obama's pool of knowledge is, she would be the party's nominee. Instead, Obama spent the final weeks of the primary campaigns dodging Hillary's challenges for additional debates until time expired.

Exhibit A of my belief that Obama has a real problem now with Hillary supporters.

 

My wife voted for Hillary in the spring.

She will vote McCain in the fall.
