You people talk about him dodging debates as if it is a bad thing. Lets look at this scenario...You have a army. This army has an excellent air force, but has horribly trained infantry units. The army you are facing, has a horrible air force, and an excellent infantry. Would you fight your army exclusively on the ground(without air support) just because your enemy challenged you to do so. NO!

 

The McCain people can say that Obama is scared to debate McCain all they want. Obama has to play to his strengths, just like McCain has to play to his. Obama and McCain will debate 3 times this fall, if Obama knows he is that bad at debating, then he realizes that keeping it down to three debates plays in his best interest. Obama can't be pushed into "Marty McFly Politics" in which you say or engage in something just because the opposite side calls you a chicken.

 

 

 

I also don't believe that the debate deficit between Obama and McCain is as big as some would have you believe.

The big difference is there is plenty of time left in this contest and Obama is trying to milk a very slim lead.

 

To push the basketball analogy a bit further, McCain is pressing and Obama is beginning to make a lot of mistakes. Fatigue seems to be setting in on Obama and he is making rookie mistakes. McCain is taking full advantage of Obama's mistakes like a veteran should and he seems to be getting stronger and more aggressive as the game wears on.

 

The McCain campaign's biggest challenge now is to decide which Obama and Biden gaffes they should exploit next.

McCain watched Hillary embarrass Obama in their last debate. Did Obama think McCain would refuse an invitation to let voters see the two of them debate - especially when McCain trailed in all of the polls?

This Hillary supporter will never be enthusiastic about Obama. I hope it's a long week for him and a long next few months also. I may have voted for him if he had put Hillary on the ticket but now I wouldn't vote for him if you paid me to.

In Kentucky, when has there ever been unity with the DNC? Even when former Rep., D-KY 4th Ken Lucas was our Congressman, he rarely if ever agreed with the platform of his own Party! He one year, even refuse to attend the DNC! Talk about unity all you want, but in a state like Kentucky, unless OJ and company change their platform, Kentucky Dems will never fall into line with i!

I didn't think that I would ever see the day that I preferred Hillary over anyone but I certainly do with this guy. What is really scary is the amount of voters in this country that are buying into all of his propoganda or a "change" wtih no explanation of what that is and not realizing that he has no plan. They are believing rehearsed teleprompter speeches with absolutely NO experience or qualifications to back it up or to be able to lead.

JMO and one that I am entitled to as anyone else on here even though some believe that their opinion is all that matters.

IMHO, Obama is going to blitzkrieg McCain hard in the coming weeks.

Obama is pinned down by enemy fire and McCain is armed with enough ammunition to fight several campaigns. Obama will try to regain his momentum but McCain is inflicting heavy damage and the real campaign is just getting started.

 

The momentum has shifted and undecided voters are beginning to pay attention. I am shocked at how suddenly effective McCain's campaign has become.

:thumb: If Obama carries Kentucky, the 2008 election will join the Goldwater, McGovern, and Mondale losses as case studies on how not to run a presidential campaign. Obama will not carry Kentucky and the margin will not be close. McCain may even have a shot at carrying Floyd and Knott Counties. :lol:
