This is the first time in my life I truly do not want to vote.

I might be in the same boat...

So which is it? Is it going to be a landslide or is it going to be Obama winning by a squeaker? You've flip flopped already...
No, I have not flip-flopped - you just misread my posts. Obama has virtually no shot at winning in a landslide given the way events are unfloding, Too many people will refuse to vote for an agent of infanticide to allow Obama to win by a comfortable margin.

McCain may win in a landslide. With Hillary supporters still smarting from Obama's snub, it is difficult to imagine Obama will get a big bounce from a fractured convention. Unlike Obama, McCain has strategically timed his announcement of a running mate to minimize any Obama convention bounce.

There will be no ridiculous 3 AM text message to announce McCain's running mate.

When else would Obama have announced his running mate that would have made it strategically sound in your mind? As far as strategy goes he did it at the right time and kept a considerable degree of secrecy around it.

I'm fairly sure that I will not vote for John McCain.

I'm not sure if I will vote for Obama or not though.

I'm not sure if I'm even going to vote.

I'm with you.

Thursday. If he was confident that he was making the right choice, then he should have welcomed a couple of extra days of exposure for Biden. As I said in another post, late Friday afternoon is typically the time damaging information is released because most people do not pay much attention to the news over the weekend and many big name reporters are at home with their families.

3 AM Saturday morning makes no sense to me. I seriously wonder if 3 AM was the targeted time for the phone call as a jab at Hillary. If so, that is a pretty immature thing to do and 3 AM Friday would have made more sense.

As for secrecy in the last few hours before the announcement, who cares? If the Secret Service detail had been dispatched very early Thursday morning or early Friday morning, most people would not have heard of the decision until turning on the morning news anyway. It's as if the Saturday morning announcement was seen as one less day for Biden to stick his foot in his mouth before the convention.

I'm still undecided, although Alf is making a late run on my loyalties.
There is some whispering in political circles that he may not be a natural born/hatched/spawned citizen.

Smear campaign. Clearly started by the Republicans.

At the very minimum, it could be said that outerspace is American territory. :D

Being that he was announcing a running-mate during the Olympics, it doesn't make terribly much sense to do it while it is the weekday primetime draw. Now he makes the weekend paper's front page as well as the weekend news coverage and can carry the momentum to the convention. He did it about as well as it could have been, unless he announced it on the Rush Limbaugh show, of course.

I don't claim to know why the text was sent in the morning. I've already stated he wasted its potential.

I'm still waiting for Brewster to start the 'none of the above' campaign

I believe Mr. Shumway was born on the planet Melmac--clearly a French protectorate.

Look, just as Louisiana used to belong to the French, clearly Melmac is no longer owned by the French! Heck, they don't even have an interest in it! They're appalled by the feline consumption so prevelant there.

Obama's timing defied conventional wisdom. Obama sacrificed at least two days' worth of Biden's stumping and the Biden announcement would have been the main topic of all of Sunday talking head shows in either case. If Obama is elected, maybe his 3 AM strategy will set a new trend.

Clearly, Melmac doesn't belong to anyone anymore. If you do your research, you will see that the planet was destroyed in an atomic explosion. :p

Hence, Alf has sought refuge on the mainland.
