I have heard reports from two places that standout Louisville Central DT and UK Committ Mister Cobble has suffered an injury.

 

Can anyone confirm this? What was injured?

 

I sincerely hope for this kid's sake that this is either a rumor or the injury is not as bad as some are expecting.

According to a JCPS source, they took him for examination for what could be a season ending knee injury.

OUCH!! My prayers are with MR.C that it's NOT season ending and he has a speedy recovery!!

UPDATE: Just got off the phone with Central coach Ty Scroggins, who confirmed that lineman Mister Cobble suffered a right-knee injury Friday. Scroggins said Cobble, who has committed to the University of Kentucky, will have an MRI on Saturday. "It's an unfortunate situation, but I don't think it's too serious," Scroggins said. "He should be all right. At worst he might have torn some meniscus (cartilage)."

Here is to a speedy recovery. From reading Frakes' blog, maybe it is not as bad as it originally sounded.

I hope he returns soon. Looking forward to seeing him this season.

Any update on the "hobble" of Mr. Cobble???

Last I heard from a UK site, it was a MCL Injury (don't know if it was sprained or what) and that he will miss some time but should be back to new before the end of the regular season

I hope its minor and he can get back on the field and dominate!

Official word is MCL Sprain.
