August 2, 200818 yr I know the conservatives on the board wont appreciate this reference, but has anyone else seen the Dave Chapelle skit on reparations....CLASSIC!
August 2, 200818 yr Liberals have dominated inner city politics for decades and they have proven that expanding government programs and handing out more money is not an effective way to fight poverty. Anybody who does not believe that Obama would sign any reparations bill that reached his desk if he is elected president is just not paying attention to his nuanced positions. We agree on the first part. The "management team" needs to be changed. However, to this thread, you have zero proof that Obama is for reparations.
August 2, 200818 yr Proof? They have no proof. Just fear. That is what the Republican Party sells these days. A fine way to honor the legacy of their hero and patriarch, Ronald "Morning in America" Reagan.
August 2, 200818 yr At least you're on topic now. Depends on what it will cost the economy? Depends on how much it will raise taxes, as you know, Obama is all for raising taxes. What will building new schools do to ensure kids will go to school? ???
August 2, 200818 yr They have no proof. Just fear. That is what the Republican Party sells these days. A fine way to honor the legacy of their hero and patriarch, Ronald "Morning in America" Reagan. :thumb: Again I agree with you.

Republican's have stayed in power or kept some remnant of power due to word's that end in -ism. Communism isn't here to kick around anymore, so we move to terrorism.

August 2, 200818 yr Read the article to which you linked. Do groups supporting reparations seem worried about the prospect of an Obama presidency to you? That's all you've got? SO we can now only vote for someone we agree with on 100% of the issues? Your legs must be huge from all of the long jumping you do to get from one point to your conclusion.
August 2, 200818 yr We agree on the first part. The "management team" needs to be changed. However, to this thread, you have zero proof that Obama is for reparations. What is noticeably absent in this thread is any clear statement by Obama that he opposes reparations. Nobody has posted one because Obama has never directly addressed the question. So, where is your proof that Obama opposes reparations?

Nobody has posted one because Obama has never directly addressed the question. So, where is your proof that Obama opposes reparations? Obama has also never expressed his dis-belief in Santa or the Tooth Fairy...could we be electing a Commander in Chief that believes in Santa?
August 2, 200818 yr What is noticeably absent in this thread is any clear statement by Obama that he opposes reparations. Nobody has posted one because Obama has never directly addressed the question. So, where is your proof that Obama opposes reparations? He has clearly said that reparations won't fix the problem. He offered better solutions. You've ignored those solutions.
August 2, 200818 yr Obama has also never expressed his dis-belief in Santa or the Tooth Fairy...could we be electing a Commander in Chief that believes in Santa? To my knowledge, Obama has never been asked clear, direct questions about Santa or the Tooth Fairy. In contrast, he has been asked many times in a clear and direct manner about whether he supports reparations. Where is his clear and direct response that he would oppose reparations if elected president?
