August 1, 200818 yr I saw Jeff Corwin (from Animal Planet) today state that he believed it was a decomposed dead dog or racoon. He stated it could not be a turtle as their spine is in the shell and this animal appears to obviously have a spine. He also stated that the animal would be hairless as would any animal exposed to what this dead carcass had been exposed to. It was obviously a carnivore by the teeth in the photo. I don't know what it is, but it surely does look strange. I have alot of experience with Sea Turtles and the only part that is Turtle-esque is the front fin and beak... the hing legs (Sea turtle hinds quarters are very small and emaciated because they primarily only serve for aerodynamics), tail (it would either be shorter or broader), and vertebrate (just like corwin said), and it's back (not only is the vertebrate integral in the carapace, bu many of a turtles nerves which ould be evident on this thing) definately disqualifies a sea turtle from consideration IMO.

I was thinking along the lines of a pig. But while looking at some Pit Bull pics, I think that could be it. Here is a skull of a pit bull.

August 4, 200818 yr This picture is pretty creepy. Based on the first picture, I thought it may have been a shell-less sea turtle. Then seeing the second picture, I am completely clueless onto what it is. But I do know that if I was swimming around and saw that thing near me, I'd go into panic mode

I will say with 99% certainty that you dont have to worry about another one of those ever swimming with you in the wild LOL Whatever it is, it is definately terrestrial and a mammal
August 4, 200818 yr I've seen a couple of theories... 1) Raccoon 2) Pit Bull From all the pictures I've found, I would have to say that the Pit Bull guess seems to be most likely. It would be so cool if this turned out to be a completely new animal that has never been seen before. However, I'm guessing it's not.
