July 30, 200818 yr Packers coach Mike McCarthy says he has not had a rookie quarterback pick up the mental part of the job as fast as Brian Brohm has. Brohm has been extremely confident in the huddle and has picked up the offense very quickly. He had some problems with holding onto the ball too long, but the Packers like his "size, touch, vision, and intelligence." He's in line to be Aaron Rodgers' main back-up this season. From other things I have read he struggled early on and yet still performed much much better than Flynn in the Packers very complex offense. It seems as though he is adjusting pretty quickly.
July 31, 200818 yr NFL network dude said..."if Brett leaves the Packers they better find an experince back up for Rodgers. I thought...how many days have they worked out? 3? He said Brian had a pick. I turned the channel.
July 31, 200818 yr Someone a little closer to the situation...no offence GT. My main tie to Brohm news is you...
July 31, 200818 yr I hope that in a few years Brian proves all of the GM's wrong and signs a gazillian dollar contract. The terms of the contract he just got, shows that he may have gone a lot higher in the draft had he chosen to go to a different college. U of L's season his senior year cost him millions. Good luck to BB in the NFL. I guess the days of sitting with him at Trinity's home games are over.
