Why? They have 20+ seniors which most saw alot of varsity time, and a strong if not stronger junior class. Maybe sounds to me like someone is a little bitter from last year?

Sure how about we start at the lack of exp. at the QB position. Holy Cross is putting a converted WR under center. Also it looks like HC will have just as many juniors starting as seniors if not more.

There are a bunch of problems with your post.

 

1. The "converted" WR to QB is Markel Walker, who was the Qb for the 8th grade team and the unbeaten 10-0 Freshman team two years ago. He still ran drills as a Qb some last year early on there was just no need at Qb with Cody Reardon, so because Markel is a freak athlete and most likely a top ten guy in NKY, he went and dominated as a Free safety and wideout. I'm sure you remember him from your two loses you were handed by HC last year. :sssh: :thumb:

 

2. Why would Juniors starting hurt a team if they are good, and based on the junior Freshman(06'), Jv(last year), and Varsity(last year) performances already dished out, what makes you think they will suffer? :ylsuper:

You are sure I remember him? IMO, You sound like you already have HC beating Lloyd this year and the season hasn't even started.

Does Lloyd have a new coach?

Lloyd is going to be very good! I saw them play in the passing league and they were impressive.

I agree that Fort Campbell, Owensboro Catholic, and Trigg County are three of the best 2A football programs in Western Kentucky over the last five years, but last year Fort Campbell overcame a significant hurdle by beating Owensboro Catholic twice. Prior to that I believe they were 0-3 against OC with all three losses in playoff games. Under coach Berner FC is 5-2 against Trigg County with one loss in Berner’s first year and the other being the playoff loss two years ago. For the most part, Trigg County has not been very successful against Fort Campbell under Coach Berner. That fact was evident by comments made by Trigg’s Radio host who said after the 2006 regular season loss that “they were glad Fort Campbell was moving into a different district (with OC) the following year (2007)”. To answer your question I believe FC has, for the most part, had Trigg’s number under Berner, as far as OC I think they will battle for years to come, but last year was a step in the right direction for Fort Campbell.

 

Prior to last season's thrashing of Trigg Co. Ft. Campbell was 4-2 against Trigg Co. with an avg. point differential of 5 pts. Three of the six games decided by 7 points or less. These two teams have battled during the Berner era. If Ft. Campbell beats Trigg again like they did in 2007, then they have definitely separated themselves from their northern rival.

After reading the preseason reviews, let's hear what everyone thinks will be this years Top 10. Here's mine:

Prestonsburg #5 and DeSales #10. Come on is that the best you can give DeSales? I read they have like 85 kids coming out for football and the JV team coming up went undefeated as freshman. The is a strong showing of talented kids that are ready to display their talents this year. If true that 85 kids are on the team, that is a strong showing for a 2A team. More than was on my team, which was 4A.

Sanders is doing a great job with this program, but having an all-boys school has to help out a lot.

Yes I was....if you only read that line of my entire post, which you did. It just went along with my reasoning behind why he should make a smooth conversion to Qb. And if I'm not mistaken Hc did win so I'm just stating the truth.:sssh: Also, I in no way said we have already won the game, because well...we haven't, and it's going to be a tuff game. I never said Lloyd was bad, they have talent offense. Now if you would like to continue the conversation on the players and how they will pan out and why we are in top ten lists I'm all for it. :thumb:
