You budget all year for it and you have guys like Papi, and Giambi, and some other big money guys already in your payroll and lineup. So for instance the Sox already have an everyday really good player playing 1st. But when for example, the Rockies play in the AL park last year they either DH a sub or DH a regular and put a sub in the lineup. I'd be willing to bet anything that the regular DH this year in interleague play outhits the "DH" from the NL teams by more hits than the pitchers in the NL outhit the AL pitchers. So what your saying is the NL DH's have a less chance of hitting because they aren't playing in the field as well?:confused:

Name another major sport that plays by different rules based on conference. Waiting patiently. Name another major sport that plays by totally different rules in the championship game or series b/c of a venue change..... Would the NFL play the Superbowl w/ different rules than every other game played the entire year? Uh no. It's absurd for teams to compete for the same title under totally different rules. It gives the AL the biggest advantage ever for home games. So what makes the AL right and the NL wrong? When the game was invented, was the DH in place?

It gives the AL the biggest advantage ever for home games. Does the NFL play 9 innings? Does the NBA have touchdowns? Didn't think so, IT'S BECAUSE THEY ARE DIFFERENT SPORTS. Why should the NL have to add the DH why can't the AL get rid of it? It makes perfecet sense to take the DH out of baseball, it's completely and utterly ridiculous that you would think a player should bat but not field, or pitch but not bat. It's part of baseball that the players play both positions. The DH is a cop out for managers saying that they have a player that can only hit the ball but not field it. If he can't do both he shouldn't be playing. You can argue this all you want but there is not one valid point for having DH in baseball.

I'd rather have a guy hit single, steal 2nd, get sacrificed to 3rd and get drove in, rather than a solo homerun anyday. Also the squeeze play with a guy on 3rd is great to watch.
