They did a pretty good job of handling both those guys when Bardstown drilled them last year by 13 in a game that really wasn't that close. Adair's going to miss the Kimberland kid far more than Bardstown's going to miss their two seniors. Kimberland was really the only top-notch athlete on Adair's squad, and their best shooter. Ballou gets frustrated easily when pushed around (like B'town did to him), and takes way too many threes.

 

Hall's younger brother should be able to step in and take over some of Corey's scoring, and they have enough bodies coming back to help fill the hole left by Edelen. I look for Hickman to emerge as the clear best PG in the 5th, and one of the best in the state.

 

Guess we'll just have to wait and see...either way it wouldn't suprise me to see either one of these two represent the 5th at Rupp next March.

Corbin is the easy favorite in the 13th this season. Returns almost everyone. Clay then South Laurel.

 

I agree. Knox Central and Bell County could also be in the mix.

I agree HDE. Central and Bell will be in the mix, too. South Laurel has talented players returning, but the loss of Bortnem is going to hurt more than people think. And, Corbin is loaded this season.

No, Keeton, Young, and Ralston were our three graduating starters. Our returning starting juniors (seniors to be) are Spurlin and Edgington. We have some promising sophomores to be for sure, and then further down the line a VERY good class of 2013.

Well, I'll need to research a bit on some regions, but the 12th I like Wayne County, McCreary and Lincoln. If McCreary can get into the regional tourney, then they could be deadly.

In the 13th Region, Corbin is the favorite hands down. Then Clay, Knox Central, Bell and South Laurel.

14th - Hazard.

The natives get restless every so often, but I just call it like I see it. They have the talent and coaching to be very competitive by the time the season ends though.

I agree but JBS with the Stepp's, Cox, Collins, etc will give Whitaker, Campbell, etc. a run for their money.

 

Sorry but Cox has already transferd to Knott Co. and has gotten his release to play next yr. for KCC.

Also you better not overlook Perry Central they went to the championship game last yr. and they have their players back including the Salyers kid that transfer in from Breathitt Co. I know Coach Hatcher is very high on him and he could move into that other starter that they lost last yr.

What about the Stepp kid? Where will he be playing?
