Jeff Kinney would be a great fit. SUPER good guy, and good coach.

Without Coach Whitaker, the Paris and Harrison County rivalry will not be the same.:cry: However, agreeing with hchs, like him or not, he got the job done! The Fillies will miss him badly!

He should be on the short list of ANY job in the state.

And he will make a great HEAD coach some day for some lucky school.

I could see why Coach Brooks might go over "to the dark side." The district would be much easier than what he has to face now and getting into the regional is the goal of all coaches. Time will tell if he plans the jump. Also I'm sure the Asst. Coach at Campbell is biting at the bit to get a head coaching job. I think he's prefer to get it at Campbell but don't see Cravens leaving unless he is forced to.

I thought Bourbon should have made a serious run at him for the boys job... but also thought the "long standing" rivalry between the two schools would make it hard for him to make the jump... the same kind of applies in the situation.. Harrison and Paris girls have become quite a battle the past 8 or 9 years (dating back to the 37th...) a move to Cynthiana would be viewed with an interested eye within the Paris and Bourbon County Sports Communities...

 

It would add some new live to the Paris-Harrison rivalry though, and would give us media folk a few things to talk about...

 

There should be some very good names come up for the job... look forward to the hire...

Ironically, Harrison NEVER EVER had the success that Coach Whitaker guided them to.

 

He sent more players D1 than, I believe, any coach in school history and is the ONLY coach to have had the Fillies playing in the Sweet 16.

 

Here is the parents getting their wishes and rid of Coach Whitaker and a return to the days for Harrison of unfulfilled expectations that happened before Coach Whitaker took over.

Don't put the 10th region coaches on that list. Irregardless of the hire, Harrison just got easier to prepare for if you are an opposing coach.
