The US made a huge mistake by not sending the athletes in 1980 to Moscow. If people want to boycott by no going over there then fine, or another way, but not by leaving the athletes home. cheapseats Posted June 10, 2008 Share Posted June 10, 2008 I saw an article a few months ago that had a quote from someone in the USOC that said something like "If they made a list of worst ideas ever conceived, boycotting the olympics would be right up there at the top of the list."
