June 2, 200818 yr The Democrats this year are blessed to have two very good candidates. They have each drawn very large and passionate support. The Republicans weren't able to come up with one good candidate. Senator Obama will not be running against Senator Clinton in November. He will close that deal. The large and passionate support is because of the vast difference between the two candidates runnign for the nod, come November you will not see all Hillary votes be for Obama, in fact, considering the Clinton's close relationship with the McCain, it wouldn't surprise me to see a few strategically placed comments that would be to McCain's beneift. Regardless of whom gets the Dem nod, come November expect a huge turnout from Republicans based on the opposition.

I cannot recall that ever happening before - at least in my lifetime. Usually shady dealings that are public knowledge screen out financial candidates. Plagiarism knocked Joe Biden out of the running a few years ago. An affair knocked Gary Hart out of the running in another election cycle. Standards have dropped to where major scandals like Rezko and a Keating Five connection hardly rate a shrug.
