May 28, 200818 yr A few of my favorite songs of all-time: Rock & Roll / When the Levee Breaks - Led Zeppelin Gimme Shelter - Rolling Stones Jessica - The Allman Brothers Band In Your Honor - Foo Fighters The Grudge - Tool Born of a Broken Man - Rage Against the Machine Heart of Gold - Neil Young Drunkship of Lanterns - The Mars Volta Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard - Paul Simon Bartender - Dave Matthews Band Pick a Stone Temple Pilots song... Hmmm... Hole in a Paper Heart? Is that the name of it? That one, or Big Bang Baby. Vasoline is a good one, too. And what the heck, I'll admit that I LIKED Sour Girl.
May 28, 200818 yr And one song that the more I hear it the more I think it deserves a nod is "No Excuses" by Alice and Chains.

"Sour Girl" wasn't bad but definitely not one of my favorites. I think "Atlanta" and "A Song for Sleeping" are their best slow songs. Those are some good choices you had but to add to them I'd throw in "Interstate Love Song", "Wicked Garden", "Down", "Silvergun Superman", "Dumb Love" and "All in the Suit That You Wear" to round off my favorites. If you can't tell I might be a little obsessed...

They're one of those bands that my brothers listened to back in the day and I never felt it then but as the years passed and the music on the radio got crappier and crappier I realized how much respect I had for them and needed to listen to them more. Oh yeah, and let us not forget "Big Empty".

On a side note, they are currently on a reunion tour and they put on one heck of a show.

May 29, 200818 yr Operator by Jim Croce is one of my favorites. Yep. I heard it after I had just gotten "dumped" by some girl, & it hit home.
