King of the Bluegrass field announced

Louisville Eastern won the KOB/State 96/97 year. Fairdale won the KOB, LIT, & State in 93/94 year.

So teams are better off coming to the Toyota Classic @ Scott County, the winner has won the state championship two times in the last ten years :)

Or I guess Mason County's tournament would be equally sufficent the winner of their Invitational has won the state championship twice in the last 6 years!

Last year Scott Co. went to the City of Palms tournament before Christmas and the Beach Ball tournament after Christmas. Those are 2 of the best tournaments in the country. Both tourneys are loaded with talent. Its hard to turn down going to those places. Mason Co. also goes out of state a lot as well, going to Hawaii last year.
No one is criticizing Scott County's schedule. I'm simply pointing out that, from what I am told, Scott regularly gets invites to the LIT and KOB but chooses not to accept them.

I never said you were criticizing. I just pointed out that Scott Co. has some better options than those 2 tournaments.

Elliott, Holmes and Scott were all invited. For some reason Billy Hicks won't come. The other two had scheduling problems.

I wonder what the scheduling conflicts could have been for Holmes and Elliot. I know Holmes usually plays in tournaments over Christmas break but I don't see why they wouldn't back out of another offer to participate in this.

Very strong field and looks to be an exciting tournament. For some reason Elliott Co. is not wanting to play a top notch schedule. They agreed to play in King of the Bluegrass and Farm Bureau Classic and later declined after accepting invitation. They could have had some very good competition in both events. Instead, they play a lot in their region against lesser competition.

Your right about Elliott Co. They dont like to play top notch teams. Instead of going to the KOB they are going to the Beach Ball Classic in Myrtle Beach. I hear they will be some really weak teams down there.

Sorry about you BAD information, but the Beach Ball Classic has the best teams in the nation. It is invite only for the top team in most states. Just look it up!:jump:
