Every indication is that Dusty doesn't believe Bruce is a centerfielder, although apparently the rest of the organization disagrees with him.

I wasn't real high on Dusty to start with but said I would give him the chance before passing judgement on his job with the Reds. I still feel that way but have to say that lately he has done nothing but confirm my doubts about him in Cincy.

He will be up when there is a spot for him to play everyday until then he needs to work on cutting down on his strikeouts.

There are a lot of very good hitters that strike out a lot. Bruce only has 22 extra-base hits in 145 at-bats and a .366 average. It isn't like a lack of contact is killing his performance.

Bruce has been tremendously productive in what now amounts to more than half a season in Triple-A ... what more does he have to do?

He isn't going to play everyday right now there is no point.

Because?
Because?

He needs to get as many at bats as he can get. What is the point to bring him up here to platoon and start his clock early?

Who should he platoon with? He's shown he's ready to make the move, and if he comes up, there's no reason not to put him in center and play him every day.

I said it was time at the start of the year and got hammered for it. Dunn+Griff need to go and Bruce needs to start getting experience IMO. The Reds have a ton of GREAT young potential. They need to dump the dead weight and get the chemistry built for what could be something special!

If they get rid of Dunn or Griff and put him in one of those spots everyday I am all for it.

Only the reason being he's not a center fielder.

I agree 100%!

Like Hank Steinbrenner said, "We need to be like the Rays." They handled Evan Longoria the right way, and right now he is doing decent for a rookie.

So why is he playing center in Louisville?
